The 2026 Colorado is Chevrolet's midsize pickup, sold only as a crew cab with a 5-foot bed and seating for five. Six trims run from the $32,400 Work Truck to the $50,700 ZR2 before destination, and every one of them uses the same 2.7L TurboMax turbocharged four-cylinder making 310 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque through an 8-speed automatic. That single-engine lineup is the model's defining trait: money spent moving up buys drivetrain hardware, ride height and equipment, never power. Properly equipped, a crew cab tows 7,700 lbs. An 11.3-inch touchscreen with Google built-in is standard on every trim, including the Work Truck, which is unusual at this end of the segment and a real reason to look at the cheaper trims seriously.

2026 is a carryover year in the third generation, which has been in production since 2023, so nothing fundamental has changed and the truck is not carrying first-year revisions. The trims that matter most around Garland County, and for the Malvern, Arkadelphia and Benton drivers who make the run down, are the Trail Boss, which adds a 2-inch lift, 32-inch all-terrain tires and low range for the buyer who leaves pavement, and the ZR2 above it, which adds Multimatic DSSV dampers, front and rear locking differentials and 10.7 inches of ground clearance. Worth knowing before you shop: a properly equipped ZR2 crew cab is rated at 6,000 lbs rather than 7,700, so the trail truck and the trailer truck are not the same truck.
