Does the 2026 Colorado still come with a V6?

No. Chevrolet offers a single engine in the 2026 Colorado, the 2.7L TurboMax turbocharged four-cylinder, and no V6 is available in this generation.

Is there a diesel Colorado?

Not in this generation. The 2.7L TurboMax gasoline engine is the only powertrain offered on the 2026 Colorado.

Do I need a cable to use CarPlay in a Colorado?

No. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are both wireless and both standard on every trim. Google built-in also runs natively, so navigation works without a phone connected at all.

What safety features are standard on the 2026 Colorado?

Chevy Safety Assist is standard on every trim: Forward Collision Alert, Automatic Emergency Braking, Front Pedestrian Braking, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, Following Distance Indicator and IntelliBeam auto high beams. How many trims does the 2026 Colorado have?

Six: WT, Custom, LT, Trail Boss, Z71 and ZR2. The ZR2 Bison is an AEV package fitted to the ZR2 rather than a seventh trim.

What is the difference between the Trail Boss and the ZR2?

The Trail Boss adds a 2-inch lift, 32-inch all-terrain tires and 9.5 inches of ground clearance. The ZR2 adds Multimatic DSSV dampers, front and rear electronic locking differentials, a 3-inch lift, 33-inch mud-terrain tires and 10.7 inches of clearance.

Is the Z71 more capable off-road than the Trail Boss?

They are aimed differently. Both run 18-inch wheels on 32-inch all-terrains with four-wheel drive and four drive modes; the Trail Boss adds the 2-inch lift and a transfer case shield, and the Z71 adds LED lighting and a Jet Black interior with Adrenaline Red accents.

Which Colorado trims have four-wheel drive?

Trail Boss, Z71 and ZR2 have it as standard with a two-speed transfer case. WT, Custom and LT are rear-wheel drive as standard with four-wheel drive available, and that available system is single-speed with no low range.

Which Colorado makes the most sense as a work truck?
